What to expect

We Love Visitors.

We are so glad that you decided to join us for worship! We want to make you feel comfortable and here is a an idea of how a typical Sunday morning worship service would look like:

Singing

You will find that we sing without the accompaniment of instruments. We believe that there is Biblical precedent from Ephesians 5:19-21 and Colossians 3:15-17. We encourage you to sing with us. The words will be projected on the screen and there are also songbooks on the backs of the pews.

Prayer

We truly believe that one of the best ways to grow closer to each other is to pray together (James 5:16-18). Throughout the service, one of our very capable men will lead our minds in prayer to our Father.

Lord’s Supper

Every Sunday we partake of the Lord’s supper, as the first century church did (Acts 20:7). During this time, we partake of the bread and the cup, which represents the body and the blood of Christ (1 Corinthians 11:23-26). Do not feel obligated to participate.

Contribution

Every week our members contribute to the needs of the church by giving of their means (1 Corinthians 16:1-2). This is done cheerfully and in response to the great gifts that we have been given from God (2 Corinthians 9:6-13). Please do not feel obligated to make a financial contribution, but we do ask that you fill out a visitors card and place it in the collection plate as it comes around.

Preaching and Invitation

Our minister will deliver a message from God’s word. This is a time of study, encouragement, and call to action. The message usually lasts around 30 minutes and will conclude with an “invitation.” Some might feel they need to ask for prayer, while others will come asking to be baptized into Christ for the remission of their sins (Acts 2:37-39).
